Mimi Bobeck is the only person with whom Drew can never behave nicely. They carry on playing pranks on each other and hardly miss a chance to taunt the other one. Previously, she was Mr. Bell’s assistant/secretary, but later on performed same duties for Mr. Wick. She is an over weight woman who wears excessive make-up. But her self esteem is so high that she complains about Drew when he refuses her a job due to her make-up. Since then, she is stuck on making Drew’s life a hell. She plays numerous pranks on Drew like gluing his hand to a pornographic magazine, covering his desk with garbage and once she sent him to China while he was unconscious. She calls him a ‘pig’. Her character is such that she always goes opposite to the societal norms of beauty. She has a brief past in music. She was married to Eddie Money for two weeks after appearing at his first concert. She also admits to her affairs with two more men. One of them is still in love with her as he carries a tattoo on his chest of her choice. Later on she dates and marries Drew’s brother, Steve. Meanwhile, she and Drew leave their conflict behind and now Mimi becomes more than a friend to Drew.

Birth Place- Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Life and Career- She is an American actress who grew up in an Irish American family. She is daughter of an automobile dealer. After completing studies, at the age of 23, she moved to New York City. There she got job as a secretary at WCBS-TV. During this period, she also worked in various New York comedy clubs at nights to improve her improvisational comedy skills. Later she became an “improv” teacher. Director Bill Sherwood was her student and he wrote a part for her in his 1986 film “Parting Glances”. She worked as a character actress in several TV series. Her role as Ms. Goddard in “Newhart” can be considered as her most memorable and first regular stint.

Due to being overweight, she normally gets heavy girl roles, but she avoids being type casted. She is of opinion that people think that her weight is the plus point for her career, but the truth is if she will ever lose weight, won’t lose her talent.

Her role as Mimi Bobeck was written only for pilot episode, but positive reviews of public about her role encouraged creators to enhance her role on the series. Her movie credits include, “Arachnophobia”, “Stanley and Iris”, “Three Fugitives” and “This Boy’s Life”. She is also the co-creator and star of an educational and entertainment website named www.MrsP.com , which will launch in 2008.
