Season 8 was premiered on September 9, 2002 and in the season opener ‘Revenge of the Doormat (1)’, we see that Winfred-Louder goes bankrupt so Drew finds himself out of the store. In order to cheer him up, the guys take him to a strip club. In the second episode, ‘Kate’s wedding (2)’- Kate decides to marry Kirk. Drew also thinks that he still has feelings for Kate and he starts to take care of her. Next episode was entitled ‘Eyes Wide open’. Here, we see that Drew continuously have nightmares about Kate’s wedding and in order to soothe his broken heart, he decides to marry someone else.

Then comes, the ‘Hickory Dickory… Double Date’. In ‘Mama Told Me I Should Come’, Drew’s mother comes to town and sets a blind date for him. Various other plot developments are- Drew comes to know that Steve has an affair with his hair-dresser; Mimi finds the reality and takes a rigid decision about their relationship; Drew hires a teenager to improve his technical know-how; Drew becomes obsessed with his dance instructor and Kellie gets jealous of her; Oswald fails his nursing school exam and Drew helps him to get a job at the website; Drew’s asked by his boss to do a live commercial; the gang takes part in a karaoke contest and Drew ends up having an 11 year old girl as his partner; Steve persuades Mimi to reconcile; Drew and Speedy get involved in an animal therapy program; Oswald tries to plan a date with Traylor; Drew decides to propose to Lily. Season comes to an end on August 27, 2003 and the season finale was entitled ‘The Bataan Wedding March’.

Season’s Top Ranked Episode ‘Drew Answers the Belle’

Drew wants to get married and to land him a wife, Oswald and Lewis put his contact number on Buzz Beer bottles. Much to everyone’s surprise, a southern belle responds to them and shows an interest in Drew. She’s named Lily and Drew travels down to South in order to meet her.
